Every painting and every print is packed and sent with care. Below you will find what to expect — both for fine art prints and for original and commissioned artwork.
Shipping fine art prints
Fine art prints are made to order at a print house close to your delivery address. What you pay for shipping depends on the country the print is going to and on the print you choose — size, finish and framing all play a part. The exact shipping cost is always shown at checkout, before you pay, so there are no surprises afterwards.

Shipping original paintings & commissioned artwork
An original painting or a commissioned work exists only once. Each one is packed by hand, insured and sent from the studio in the Netherlands. Unlike prints, the shipping — carrier, timing and cost — is arranged with you personally, because size, weight and destination differ for every artwork. The table below gives an indication per region, so you know roughly what to expect.

Why is shipping different for original paintings and prints?+
Fine art prints are made to order at a print house close to the delivery address, which is why their shipping costs are fixed per country and can be calculated at checkout. An original painting is a unique work that is packed by hand, insured, and travels from the studio in the Netherlands. There is no fixed rate for that: the cost depends on size, weight and destination, and is agreed with you personally.
How long before my order is delivered?+
Every print is made especially for you. Printing and finishing usually takes a few working days, after which the print is handed to the carrier. How long the journey then takes depends on the destination — within the Netherlands and Belgium this is usually quick, further afield it takes longer. At checkout you will see the expected delivery time for your country. For originals and commissions, the timing is agreed with you personally.
Do I get tracking for my order?+
Yes. As soon as your order is on its way you will receive an email with the tracking details, so you can follow your parcel to your door. Do not see that email? Check your spam folder, and otherwise get in touch — we are happy to look it up for you.
How is my artwork packaged?+
Depending on their size, prints ship flat in sturdy board packaging or rolled in a rigid tube, always protected against moisture and creasing. Framed prints get extra protection around the corners and the face. Original paintings and commissioned work are packed by hand in the studio: wrapped in protective material, cushioned on every side and sent in a rigid box or crate — and always insured.
What if my order arrives damaged?+
Let us know within seven days of delivery and include a few photos of the damage and of the packaging as you received it. Keep the packaging until everything has been settled — the carrier sometimes needs it. If a print arrives damaged we will arrange a replacement. For an original or a commissioned work, we will find a suitable solution together with you and the transport insurer.
Do I have to pay import duties or local taxes?+
Within the European Union nothing is added to the amount you pay at checkout. If your order crosses a customs border — for example an original travelling from the Netherlands to a country outside the EU — the destination country may charge import duties, VAT or a handling fee. These are set by the local customs authority, are payable by you as the recipient, and are not included in the price at checkout.
